My MDX is 3.5 years old, but the mileage is still pretty low: less than 30,000 miles.

During this weekend, I was driving on a highway at approx. 70mph. I began to notice some blower fan noise, like a rotating-fan noise. When I turn off the AC, the noise was gone. When AC was being turning off, I was able to hear the blowing noise was fading away.

I know that I'm very sensitive to the noises. The noise wasn't that intrusive, but I definitely heard the blowing fan noise. Today, on a local road, I couldn't hear this noise again.

Anyone who experienced such blower AC fan noise?

I replaced blower motor on my 03 MDX and found the new motor makes a slight ticking noise. Most likely a bit of out-of-round commutator where the brushes make contact. OOR causes brushes to hop and make noise. No cure but replacement. It's not too bad to live with IMO.

good luck
