Interesting! I've never seen any noticeable dust from my OEM pads and rotors.
I broke down and had the dealer do my fronts last year since it was like 10 degrees outside and I didn't feel like doing them myself. Whatever pads they put on dust like crazy. I'm almost tempted to replace them, but whatever, it's just brake dust.

Did you try to refurbish your used OEM LCA?
Nope. There's really no one around here I can trust to do this as it's not a steel LCA where it's dead simple to repress a ball joint even yourself. This requires more finesse.

And judging from a recent quote on replacing U-joints for the propeller shaft, there's really no economical sense either: I was quoted CAD $550 for replacing both U-joints, whereas a completely new OEM propeller shaft costs CAD $750.
