It's actually a very good price. I paid $269 plus $15 shipping for the same exact unit from www.five-stars.com . This is supposedly the smallest 7 inch flip-down in the world. Very good resolution at 1440 x 234, dual video-input.

If you want something bigger, I'm setting up a group by for a 9 inch flipdown from my installer. It will be $729 including two wireless headsets.

You can buy a dvd player to install under the seat that also plays VCD/MP3/CD like this one, again pretty good price:

Here's detailed description of my install to give you some ideas:

I notice that you already have a 7 inch flipdown monitor. You don't think your 7 inch is big enough?

Pyle has a 13 inch flipdown monitor for $669:

Is this a good unit and is the price good considering its big size?

I have a question about flipdown monitor installation (DIY type): do most of these flipdown monitors get their video signal via wireless transmission? If wiring is needed, how to you connect the flipdown to the video source?

Thanks.

The 7 inch is fine for me. I'm just setting up the 9 inch for those interested just to help out. The 13 inch is great, however there are two differences, one the resolution is 1024 x 768, second it's 4:3 and not 16:9. It really depends what you are looking for. I saw one ebay for the 13 inch for $569. If it's on the second row, it may also take up more real estate on your rear-view mirror.

Some people have done the installation of the monitors on this forum. Just do a search and you'll find a few. The connection is wired, and it usually requires the taking down of the headliner. Again, I haven't done it but you'll find many threads using the search function.

Hope this helps.
