Anyone out there who has done front struts replacement on 2014 onwards MDX or similar vehicle? I tried but couldn’t remove struts. only one bolt to remove but pain in ass to remove the strut. Any tactic or procedure documents to remove it?

I tried removing wheel, outer tie rod, loosen lower lower ball joint, loosen cv axle nut but no luck. Should I remove lower control arm completely?

You can check out the #14 reply in this thread,
It's pretty hard to remove it, but I can tell you that my mechanic removed everything to get the strut out, disconnect the CV axle

Finally, I had small auto shop replace front struts for me for $150. Struts were 180 each + tax. No aftermarket option till date. LCA - lower control arm must have to be removed + lot of pushing to take out the strut.

What had to be removed to access? Might as well replace more stuff if down there already.
Everything shown in photo below.
You don't really need to remove LCA, just pushed all the way down.

While there, you can replace tie rods, ball joints and sway bar links . . . but I wouldn't unless broken.
