I went to start my July 8, 2014 MDX today and it would not start. I could not even lock or unlock the doors. I did see a message on the dash saying to hold the Key Fob next to the starter button. I assume this was due to a low voltage battery giving off a very weak signal. I tried that and it did start. I went home and assumed the battery was bad and changed the battery (CR2032). The manual has how to on page 427. The battery was not easy to remove and I needed a small flat blade screw driver. After I put the battery in the car alarm went off and I could not turn it off. After about a minute it turns off. I then took the battery out and checked the voltage on the new battery and it was low. I had another battery that measured more voltage and tried it and now everything works. I would suggest anyone with a 2014 MDX change the battery soon so you do not have this problem. My Key Fob is the two-way Advanced version.
