I have 2007 MDX that I'm having to jump start everyday. I took it too get checked and was told battery is great alternator is good and they can't figure out what the problem is. Any help with this issue would be great.
Remove both the black and red cables from your existing MDX battery.
Get a 2nd car, open its hood, and remove its black and red cables.
Jumper the red cable of your mdx to the red + post of the donor battery (still in the 2nd car).
Jumper the black cable of your mdx to the black - post of the donor battery (still in the 2nd car).
The donor car can not start, because its battery is disconnected.
If your MDX starts directly off of the donor battery, it's because your MDX battery is shorted internally and has tricked the test meter's circuitry.
This happened to a 3 month old battery of mine, from Advance Auto.
They kept testing the battery as being good.
I took the battery in to them and had them test and charge it, overnight.
The next day I went back and had them take it off of their charger and measure its voltage (13.8v).
I told them to leave it disconnected and I would come back the following day.
When I got there they measured the voltage at 9.3v.
It had an internal short.
