Hi everyone. I am brand new to the forum as I recently purchased a 2005 MDX. I am trying to replace the cv axle on the front passenger side however I cannot get the shaft removed from the intermediate shaft. I have been prying and pulling and actually removed the axle at the boot by accident. I watched a bunch of videos on this however I don't really see a good place to pry from. The 1st pic is the current situation. The second pic is from under the car. Should I pry against the rusty portion of the axle or the silver ring I have created a small gap in. It seems the lip of the silver ring is bending. If I grab the piece that's there it moves in and out about a 1/4 of an inch freely but is hung up. Any advice is appreciated.

I got it. You dont pry the passenger side. I drove a breaker bar into the back of it with a 4lb hammer and it slowly came out.
