Try eBay, especially the completed items with reserves not met. There has been a Black and a Hunger Green floating around.

Just a word of warning, some of the "gently" used ones are actually the same price if not more than a new one.

Technically speaking, I suppose. I'd think a vehicle which was properly titled at purchase, and driven reasonably by a responsible party might be a better 'long term risk' than a technically-new car with 4000 miles driven by a deadbeat with a trace going...

Love you list of extras on the MDX, especially the empty coke can! Some posters take this way too seriously.

wrcars definitely has some credibility issues. At this point in the search I'm used to filtering out this junk.

Thanks to all who replied to my post. I ended up finding an Emerald Green Metallic 2001 X with some extras through the classifieds.

Too bad it's primarily my wife's car! I got to drive it quite a ways after my purchase and am extremely pleased so far. Now I can participate on this board as an owner. I'd like to thank the people on this board for helping me make an informed decision.

I am so glad to hear that you got what you set out to get - an MDX! I am in the same situation you WERE in - looking to join the used or new ownership club. I am saving money for as big as down payment possible...

I would love to hear about how you got the X. Did you get it here in Atlanta? I have seen some for 2001's for sale in the classifieds but the prices almost rival that of a brand new X - did you encounter this?

In the meantime, I'll look out for you (or your wife) on the connector! Congrats!

How I found my X

Sorry for the late response FIXX. I found mine simply by searching local and national sources daily. It wasn't easy, but I was the first to get to an out of state individual who kept his word. Be patient and diligent and you'll find one. I did daily searches here, on autotrader.com, and atlantaclassifieds.com.

I also searched lease trade-in sites which could be financially savvy in the right circumstances. Swapalease.com and Ez in Ez out (not sure of the URL) are good sources for lease trades. Seemed like more selection with Swapalease.
