2-Way Radio Antenna Installation

Anybody installed a 2way radio antenna on their MDX? I'm planning to install one but I need some insight on where to start. Any techniques on how to drill on the glass? Or is it safe to drill on the glass at all? I'm planning to do it on the drivers side glass of the cargo area and run the cables I don't know where to the front.
