Saw this recall for 19-20 MDXs (3.5L and hybrids) for the fuel pump assembly that might have a low pressure fuel pump failure (interior impeller can crack and stall vehicle). Anyone get a notification on this yet?

From the body of the pdf:
____
Total number of potentially affected vehicles: 628,124 (around 20 different Acura and Honda models)
...
...
...
Acura MDX 2019-2020 manufactured between 10/31/2018 to 09/13/2019: 16,372 total
Acura MDX Sport Hybrid 2019-2020 manufactured between 11/15/2018 to 07/16/2019: 761 total
...
...
...
Percentage of affected vehicles that contain the defect: 100%

Only two 2020 MDX hybrids and three 2020 3.5L MDXs are effected by this recall in the pdf compared to 759 2019 MDX hybrids and 16,369 2019 3.5L MDXs. Acura must have fixed the issue and just now got around to notifying owners.

Sent an email to my local Acura dealership to get more info this morning (4/1/21).

I got a notification on AcuraLink for my '19 MDX advance yesterday about the recall. I believe my mfg date is 12/18, although I'll need to confirm.

My vin is coming up as affected on Acura’s recall site. But it also says the fix isn’t ready yet.

Is this the same recall as those early model has? The dealer replaced the high pressure fuel pump because they think it is related to the chirping noise I have.

the acura owners site (at least for our MDX) is terribly behind on any recalls. It still doesn't show the recall for the odd gear transmission SW fix, and I got the letter from acura MONTHS ago, maybe even last year.

i hope this is not related to a previous recall. My 16 mdx stalled while driving and they refused to replace the fuel pump. I decided to trade it in for a 2020 model to avoid a major accident in the future. I guess I made a wrong decision.

My dealership emailed me back and said my VIN wasn't part of the recall. My MDX hybrid falls right in the middle of the affected manufacturing dates of Feb/2019 and purchased at the end of March/2019. I might have to give it some time to see if it pops up later.

Mine is listed on the Acura Owners website. But still need to wait for the parts to become available.

I forgot about checking Acura Owner's site. Still nothing for my 19 MDX from the dealership, Acuralink, or Acura Owner's site. We might want to jump on the repairs ASAP if it turns out our 19-20 MDXs fall under the recall. It took 86 days to repair my 08 RDX for the Takata air bag issue a few years ago (I had a free rental from Enterprise during that time).

Don't think I'm effected unless I fall within the 3 2020 MDX's. Is there a way to tell when my MDX was manufactured?

I have not received an "official" recall notice from Acura as of yet, but I did receive an advance notice from CarFax that there is an open recall on my vehicle. I intend to check with my Service Advisor to see if there is an open recall as of yet. My MDX is due for it's 25,000 mile service, so I'll have it done when I take it in for that - unless they tell me to bring it in right away.

just check the build date on our 2019 hybrid. Looks like we are outside the build dates, ours was built earlier than the first dates.

Mine has the open recall. The service tech told me the parts and repair description are not yet available and they'll call me as soon as it can be repaired. It's unfortunate because I have an appointment next Tuesday for service.

I checked mine (2019 sport hybrid) on Acura owner's site using VIN and it is impacted by the recall.
Check VIN
I am not in a rush since it's off road for at least another month and half.
Going to call dealer tomorrow to schedule it if possible before end of May.
