While on vacation the seat belt sensor on the driver's side started acting up. Buckle was fastened but indicated it wasn't. If seat belt is jiggled to the right spot it will show connected and alarm stops.
Took it to a highly recommended local garage, owner confirmed it was a wonky sensor but ok to drive until I can get it replaced. He was not an Acura/Honda specialist so he wasn't sure about the next question.
Can the lower portion of the belt assembly that the sensor is attached to (the part attached to the floor) be replaced as a stand alone or does the entire seat belt assembly need to be replaced?
If only the lower part needs to be replaced, the part looks very straight forward, is it a diy fix or does it need some factory reset or other bs? TIA
