    Just bought an 04 MDX with 172K on it “ as is” and it came with lots of problems. This one I can’t figure out. The transmission had almost 2 quarts more in it and I drained it to spec. Did a drain and fill and it seemed to work but the check engine light came back. It goes out after a few days...

    I am planning on replacing the front driveshaft at the driver's side. It is a 2008 MDX Tech. The service manual suggests draining the transmission fluid. My question is if it is necessary? Did anyone try not to do it? If I choose to skip this step, how mess will it be?
