  1. Trip computer and aftermarket radio

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
Thanks. I used a Metra wire harness and double din dash kit. I also used a ASWC-1 for steering wheel control adapter and a Scosche line out converter. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Trip computer and aftermarket radio

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
It sounds like whoever installed it had no idea what they were doing. The two units are separate and independent of each other. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

You can run both. I am currently on my 05. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. Cooling system issue

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
Do the fans come on when the a/c is turned on? I believe the should come on, at least they always do in mine. If not that would point to a fan issue, either mechanical or electrical. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  7. Can you tell me what fluid this is

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
I came home from running errands and saw some drops of a black liquid under the right front of the MDX. I touched it with my finger and it didn't feel like engine oil. It didn't have the odor of oil, ps fluid, brake fluid or tran fluid. When I looked in the engine compartment on that side of...
  8. Transmission or Shift Solenoid: Please help

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
If it is the 3rd and 4th solenoid's that need to be replaced, thy cost about $60-$70 dollars each and took me 15 minutes to replace on my 2005. There was no fluid loss. The hardest/longest part is dropping the front air valance. Once that is down they are right there in front of you. One is...
  9. Pulling Error Codes

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
I have an '05 and can see trans temp. However, it matches engine temp and moves up and down with it. It trails engine temp by 1 to 1.5 degrees. So I am not sure if it is a true trans temp. The picture is after the car had been sitting for about 20 min.
  10. What factors in trying to get a Deep growl exhaust sound..

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
I had a 79 Chevy Malibu that I went cat and no muffler and it sounded like a grain truck. I don't know what this would sound like though.
  11. DVD Audio

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
Has anyone successfully burned DVD Audio to play through the RES? I have searched and it appears some have tried but never really said if they got it to work. I have found a few other websites talking about how and what software and disk to use, but every time I try I can't get it to work. I...
  12. Can't find 2002 Tranny dipstick

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
on my 2005 it sits kind of under and just to the left of the radiator hoses and has a yellow handle
  13. Factory Rear Entertainment System video format(s)

    Audio & Electronics
I have a 2005 and used DVDFab to burn mine and they worked. For mine, I had to burn them as .vob files or a regular dvd movie format
  14. Shift-happy tranny

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
We did a road trip to Disneyland from Colorado Springs at the end of March this year. I averaged about 22 mpg round trip and that included sitting in California traffic. The highest I saw was 25 mpg and that was as we left. The lowest I saw was 19 mpg and that was as we were heading out of...
  15. Acura/Honda specific PIDs for Torque?

    First Generation MDX (2001-2006)
I would like to know as well. I am kind of shocked at the limited amount of live data available with a 2005 Acura. My 1996 Ford Thunderbird has tons of live data. I guess I assumed being 9 years newer and much more tech advanced than a 1996 Ford would have the same if not more PIDs available.
