Adding Adaptive Cruise Control?? Is it possible?

You can add on a lot of things.... but can you add on adaptive cruise control or even Acura watch if it doesn’t come stock on your car? I drive a 2016 base (I think) AWD MDX.

Those features have so many components that have to function together to make the systems work that I highly doubt it, but check to see if it can be dealer added to make sure. There won't be any aftermarket option.

It absolutely 'can' be done, but for the commitment of time and re$ource$ required why would anyone EVER bother? It's primitive tech just like rain sense wipers, they don't respond like typical humans would given the input. If I'm not on open road with sparse traffic the skinny pedal and my foot do just fine at keeping me out of trouble.

You would need to add CMBS with the ACC. CMBS is what helps the MDX brake when needed when ACC is engaged.

You can always trade in your vehicle with a 16 MDX with Acurawatch or any +17 MDX. Acurawatch became standard after 2017 line-up (Apple carplay added for +18 models).

That would be a really expensive way to get ACC.

I have ACC and use it all the time. It is well worth it. It would be cheaper for you to trade in your vehicle for an MDX with ACC. Wait for the next gen MDX.
