2015 phone

2015 SH-AWD. Does anyone else have trouble with the voice recognition understanding them or the nav? I am really clear with a phone number. Call 9161234567 . It puts in 9161233340567. I try it again, Call 9161234567. It puts in 0916012340567. I try it again and again, sometimes fast then slow. Sometimes the screen will lock getting ready to call and not respond to any other commands. It will lock the audio screen out if I try to cancel the call. Eventually I have to pull over, stop, put the car in park and turn it off then start over. This happened 5 times in a row yesterday while I was sitting in the drive way trying to make a call while leaving the house. Then the audio will do things like connect to the droid turbo II I have and start playing Pandora which I chose as the audio. It will play about 1/2 a song and go No Data. I look at the phone and it is still playing Pandora. I suspect it is the car because this did not happen in the 2014 MDX I had. I don't want to go to the Dealer with it because they hate problems with the NAV unit. There is almost nothing they can do but replace it and from other threads here it seems that usually doesn't solve the underlying issue.

Yeeep. Voice command works in a different language than we speak. They call it English, but I have my doubts. I have since just resorted to using Google Assistant for all my calling functions (and navi since I don't use the OEM navi).

I don't use the voice recognition for placing calls. Just use the phone voice recognition, you'll be happier and safer.

$50K - 60K car and they can't even master English. Wait until all the other things AI doesn't do starts killing people.
