I like what I see. Maybe upgrade next year. That would be 4 MDXs for me since 2000. I hear what everybody is saying. And all the issues, concerns, and wants, but for the price its still the best deal out there for performance, and reliability. Not perfect but...

Anyone heard any rumors on towing capacity? I wished it were a little higher like some of the competition.
Or if a heated steering wheel will be in a package?

I agree, it is MIA at the Houston Auto Show this week. However the 2014 RLX is on display to sit in, & Acura has done well.
The RLX has push Start/Stop engine button, and a tiny electronic Parking brake button on center console.
2 features I hope Honda executives allow in the next-gen MDX...

'14 MDX SH-AWD Advance ⛽⛽⛽
'12 MDX Advance ⛽⛽⛽⛽
Former: '11 TL Tech & '07 MDX Sport/Ent.

Looking at the spy shots, the new MDX interior will be all but identical to the RLX save for the size and shape of air vents.

I sat in the RLX yesterday at the Houston show as well and was impressed. If the MDX has the same level of materials, it could be in the running....although my wife REALLY loves the Cayenne.

We shall see.

2007 MDX Tech Billet Silver / Ebony Bone Stock!
2011 BMW 535i Sophisto Gray / Oyster Stock for now.

There is a BIG difference in price beyween the MDX and the Cayenne though. Not a real good comparison when it comes to materials, etc.

More info on the 2014 MDX

Autoweek: Jan 21, 2013 had a short article and a picture about the 2014 MDX.

I am now worried about the 1.5" lower specification. I drive in the woods and cow pastures all the time - very carefully. This may mean and Jeep and an MDX.
See the attached picture.

It was just used to state that it sits on a longer wheelbase which means more too for 2nd row passengers and the larger door.

To me it looks more like a station wagon ala Toyota Venza.

08 X Sport/Ent -- Sterling Gray/Ebony
03 X Touring/RES -- Taffeta White/Saddle

02 Honda S2000 -- Berlina Black/Black
99 Acura RL -- Naples Gold Metallic/Parchment
12 Toyota Avalon Limited
12 Toyota Highlander V6
