After buying the car, anyone buying Zurich shield from dealer? I didn't and hope I made the right decision. I just scare down the road, the factory paint crack in less than 3yrs or so.
2yrs and 65k of coast to summit drives and *knock on wood* the worst I've dealt with paint-wise have been rock chips (expected with winter driving)... I'm not sure I can recommend any add-ons from the dealer unless you trust them well.
Cars don't need these add-ons, which are major profit makers for the dealers. You'd have been ripped off if you'd have bought that.
My 2014 MDX is over 3 years old and the paint looks the same as it did on day one with the exception of a few rock chips but that's inevitable on coast to coast drives. I simply wax it every now and then and usually use a car cover on it since I fill my garage with other vehicles and this one sits outside.
You made the right decision. Just wash and wax your vehicle every now and then and if you can, limit its time in the sun.
I use Zaino twice a year and the after wash spray and wipe in between. My cars look like the day I bought them 5 years out and better. No need for anything else.
Get the daily driver protection package. All you will need. I highly recommend getting some of their applicators and borderless cotton towels. They are well worth it! Follow the instructions to the T and I feel confident you will be a fan for life.
I have no tie to the company or product other than personal experience.

The only applicators they sell. They are soft 100% cotton so as not to scratch your surface. Instructions are on the bottles, but essentially you wash thoroughly with dish detergent (like dawn) to remove any pre-existing wax, oils or pollutants. NOTE: only use Dawn once to accomplish this, NEVER again once you get your first application of Zaino on. After this start with the all-in-one polish...a little goes a long, LONG way. It took me about 2oz to complete my mdx. After this, use the finish polish...this is the polish you can layer, so I put this polish on at least two times the first time a do a car. After this is done, a re-application of the finish polish only once a year or so will suffice. The gloss enhancer spray can be used per instruction after you wash the car regularly. Again, a little goes a long, LONG way.
