Poor projector lighting

Seriously disapointed in the hid light out put from the projectors.

Ive tried all kinds of different kelvin temp colors and ive tried 50watt bulbs. Why are these lights so dim. My tl projectors are amazing with 35watt bulbs. Theres gotta be a way to fix this.

Kelvin temps won't make the lights brighter. In fact, you lose lumens as you increase temperature. Make sure everything is aimed correctly. I have no qualms about my HIDs.

50W bulb won't change anything you would need a 5oW ballast if you want more light output (which even then won't be much improvement)

Maybe look into HID fogs?

+1, Higher Kelvin = Less light

That I know, the Acura TL bulbs are different from the X's. The TL's are brighter than the ones in the X. My wife has a 2010 TL and I can always see the difference. Once I talked to the Acura part person and he told me that the TL is lower so it can use brighter bulbs without blinding the oncoming traffic.

Below is the high output OSRAM HID bulb, I think the specs were almost double the lumens from the normal OEM HID bulbs, but they are not easy to find and there are many fakes out there.

D2S: Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI - HID Bulbs from The Retrofit Source Inc

The latter info was from a discussion in the following post:

I tried for some time to get them, but I couldn't find any reliable vendor with a decent price on it.

Philips OEM are about 3200 lumens. The Osrams look to be 3400 lumens but a higher K value (5000K). As a reference, 6000K Philip Ultinons are about 2400 lumens.
