Stolen 2nd Gen. MDX (Chicagoland area) April 8th, 2017

Such a waste of a 2nd gen. MDX, thief could have at least picked a CHEVY to end up crashing, while putting to complete waste, a potentially very reliable and versatile SUV!...sincerely hope this was nobody's black MDX in Illinois?!!

Garage
I wonder if it was a hot wire job or an unattended SUV warming up in the driveway on a cold morning?

I live less than 1/2 hour from this suburb and I'm willing to bet it was either car jacked or unattended vehicle. If it was stolen in that affluent suburb, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner left the keys in the vehicle with the windows down. :roll eyes:

You should read the local north shore newspaper that publishes all the stupid police reports filed.(This is a suburb where they leave their garage doors open all night or leave their golf clubs outside on the front door.)

I must agree- seems like there's quite a high number of strong arm/forceful car jackings in both the metro Chicago and metro Detroit areas- these thugs will use a gun or their fists to forcefully take what they want to either score a quick hit to facilitate their ongoing heroin dependency... or perhaps they were just trying their best to move up the ranks within the respective gang that they belong to....*sigh*

At least this particular thief has good taste in cars...

On a related topic (sorry this might sound mean), but the story below (from about 5 years ago) serves as a reminder why you shouldn't drive/park a luxury SUV if you spend the majority of your time in the HOOD!!!
