Did you find this out?
Are you replacing the AMP also or just the sub?

I have the Alpine SWR-843D Type R which is 4.5" deep. I used a 3/4" MDF Spacer and it still wasnt enough. I was able to cut out a small portion of the plastic waffling inside of the enclosure to get it to fit.

I would guess its about 3.5 " deep.

Keep in mind if you use a spacer, the sub will have to stick out of the rear trim panel since the subwoofer cover will no longer fit over it.

Only upgrade the sub if youre planning on doing the amp too. Otherwise its a waste of time and money.

Also, my system is an 07 ELS sytem....it may differ than yours.

I will take it apart this weekend. Will check how deep is for sure. I was looking all over the place for answer and it varies 3-5 inches. I will not use any spacers, want to keep stock look.
If my bad boy will not fit, will go to best buy and buy shallow mount pioneer subwoofer.

Can you take a picture of your engine firewall where did you run power cable?

I replaced mine with a pioneer shallow mount 8 inch sub. The factory sub is basically the same as the shallow mount just not the same quality of course since it is factory. I tapped into the factory wiring inside the sub box to get a signal for my amp which is mounted in the rear storage compartment.

Is the wiring off of the deck Speaker Level connections or LFE?

Any pictures or amp placement and what the speaker looks like? What type amp are you using for the Pioneer?

There is a large rubber grommet to the left of the brake pedal with some factory wires passing through I just pushed my power wire through there after cutting a small slit. Then just ran the wire under the side trim to the rear storage compartment.

Is that the original box that your subwoofer is in or is that a customer fiberglass box?

Did you use any spacer? I'm looking at either a rockford or Pioneer shallowmounted subwoofer

No spacer, it is original box with additional fiberglass, sprayable rubber and reinforcement. My Subwoofer is 4,5 deep it fits, you just need to remove reinforcement walls inside the box.
