Is it possible to disable the seatbelt chime...

... without cutting wires? On my other/previous cars, I've been able to go through a series of steps, e.g. turn ignition on while holding door lock, release lock, turn ignition on and off, hold lock and odometer button while turning ignition on while closing left eye... And poof - no more seatbelt chime.

For those short, in-neighborhood (pool, school, etc.) drives, I don't like wearing the belt... and don't need Mommy Acura yelling at me.

Is there a code to shut this thing up? Thanks!

Yes "seriously". The pool is .6 miles from my house. The school is .3 miles. Each is located in the middle of a large neighborhood, e.g. 25 mph. Not that need to justify my *#$&ing actions to you. I asked a technical question - not a parenting question.

And great parenting example, don't worry about it, your kids don't notice those things, and they never never try to imitate parents, so if/when your kid doesn't wear seatbelt you will have all the moral authority to tell him to do so

It's funny. I mentioned to some of the guys in the Land Cruiser club that I might give my wife my Land Cruiser and drive the MDX for a while. They kidded me that the MDX was a chic car. You guys have me just about convinced they're right.
