2012 Rear-end farewell!!!!

On our way from visiting family and looking forward to celebrating the New Year. The traffic came to a gradual standstill due an accident in the opposite lanes.

Just as we wer about to move forward there was a sudden @#$%! accompanined by 2 smaller thuddd. WTFFFFF!! After checking to ensure the fam was ok and everyone was still upright I calmly opened the door and walked to the rear.

Second hit since moving here from CA.

The wife's commented we will always have a bull bar protectingthe rear. Ironically the body shop can't get there hands on any at the moment. Our bar was 8 years old and went down courageously.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad everybody is okay.

Due to crumple zones the front damage usually has more damage than the rear.

Thanks, If you're referring to the red plate, that's just for cover. It's an export plate I had to purchase to get my Volvo back state-side from Bahrain in 2005.

The X is back from the body shop and looks great. The wife called me to tell me the orear wiper was operting in the wrong direction, we had to laugh about it. At least its an easy fix.

Now the B13 code is up for maintenance.
