My wife has given me the okay to do some painting, too bad the weather is not helping.
Did you do the shield grill in place? And how about the silver trim above fog lights? Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App |

Yes everything was done in place just taped off the are around with blue painters tape and newspaper to cover the larger areas. If you do get any overspray it comes off with a microfiber rag and a little elbow grease. Also a tip I learned is the more coats you do the easier it is to remove later.

LCRS65 what product did you use for the grill, trim and wheels? Was it one specific item you purchased or did you purchase different products for the grill and another product for the wheels and side steps? Did you do the also plastic paint the nose of the X, the dark grey area? I'm thinking of doing that area as well. I never much cared for the grey area plastic on the front and back.

It's plasti dip, that's the name and brand of the product. I've done rims in the past, very forgiving and durable product.

you have any better pictures...? Can you maybe take some close ups and post them... I am really interested in doing this, my truck is black and I think it would look sick... Maybe go into some detail on how you did the moldings... that would be cool too.
