side mirrors isnt not heated???

I have a 07 mdx. Today we had some snow, I brushed most of the snow off and didnt brush the snow in the side mirrors, figure it will melt it away when I turn on the defroster. After 30 mins drive, still got snow on the side mirrors and my rear window is defrosted.

How come my side mirrors not heated? I thought we have heated side mirrors...

Can someone tell what happened?

Hmm that is weird, its supposed to turn on at the same time as the rear defrosters.

They could be wired through a different fuse. Might be worth checking.

In looking 2007 Acura MDX Online Reference Owner's Manual, see page 154 for location of Heated Mirror Button on the dash. Manual says: "The outside mirrors are heated to
remove fog and frost. With the ignition switch in the ON (II) position, turn on the heaters by pressing the button. The indicator in the button comes on as a reminder.
Press the button again to turn the heaters off."

It's shocking how much you can learn by looking in your owner's manual!

Of course, some jerk who has no sense of humor will probably ignore the smiley and figure out a way to reply with an insult totally unrelated to this quip...

Start with the basics. Did the light come on when you pressed the button?

The rear window defroster and the heated mirror are controlled by the same button.

Was the snow heavy and stuck on the mirror? The heating generated from the mirror is not all that strong. It works well for fog and light frost but heavy, caked on snow likely wont be adequately dealt with. Sometimes the snow can adhere to the edges of the mirror and the portion touching the surface of the mirror may melt slightly but still be held on at the edges.
