Does iPhone Siri not work when connected to bluetooth?

I have a 2012 with the Technology package and am unable to figure out how to use Siri on my iPhone 4S when it is connected via bluetooth. I'm guessing I have something set up incorrectly either with the phone or the MDX. Is anyone able to use Siri when the phone is paired to the MDX?

Another issue I can't solve: My navigation display does not switch to night mode at night. I have set the display to be a different color for day and night but only the day color appears regardless of the time of day. Am I missing something?

Thanks for any and all insight.
Brad

As for the 4S and Siri, the first time it doesn't work the second time it does. In other words, try it twice in a row. And after that second time my text message sound works too (although I have no interest in that distraction when driving).

thanks for the feedback, unfortunately and apparently something must be wrong with my MDX if I'm the only one having these issues.

I have tried to access Siri multiple times in quick succession on multiple occasions with no success. And as far as the navigation display switching to night mode: my headlights are always in "auto" (and the dashboard sensor is not obstructed either).

The brightness needs to be adjusted down on your instrument panel. If you have it turned all the way up the nav will not dim to night mode. There are two buttons to the right of the steering wheel on the dashboard with a + and a - to make the adjustment. Just turn it down.

I have the same problem with siri with my iPhone 4S and 2006 TL (haven't tried this on my MDX yet). It never seems to work the first time, but I recall that it eventually starts working after the 2nd or 3rd try.
