Steering Angle Sensor Question......
Being a complete idiot, I accidently broke my clock spring behind my steering wheel. I have a 2010 MDX. So I ordered a new OEM clock spring and everything installed nice and smoothly. After I got everything put back, I started having a few problems. First, my Check VSA light is on. Second, my Check Trailer Stability light is on. Third, my check SW-AWD light comes on, but only after 50 MPH or so. Before that I have power to all 4 wheels. Forth, my blinkers don't turn off automatically after finishing a turn and straighteing out the wheel again.
I'm thinking these are all related. Local mechanic read codes and it shows that the steering angle isn't being read or doesn't know that wheel is turning. After a little reading, am I right to say that the Steering Angle Sensor is part of the Clock Spring? If so, I should have a new Steering Angle Sensor too, right? So I'm wondering if I just need to "reset" or "re-nuetralize" my Steering Angle Sensor.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Dealer is 150 miles away and trying to save a trip. Thanks!!
