P0134

My wife has a 2007 MDX with 90K and this code (P0134) has come up a few times now. I erase it with my reader, but perhaps is time to tackle the problem head on. Could someone tell me which O2 sensor is the problem here and how to get to it?

OK...
OBD code P0134 sets off SH AWD code 77 which makes your car front wheel drive only... In theory fixing P0134 should take care of the problem then.
P0134 is bank 1 (rear side of the motor facing the firewall) sensor 1, this is the Oxygen sensor behind and below the middle cylinder coil. You cannot see it only feel it. It is also a 5 wire oxygen sensor.
Go to autozone and get the universal oxygen sensor removal and let the engine cool down. Unplugg the sensor first then remove it with the tool. This sensor has an aluminium crush washer so... takes only a bit to force to unscrew (not the case with most Oxygen sensors). Now just replace and plug back up. It took me 15 minutes to do and saved $$$.
Drive over to your local autopart store and have them erase the OBD dode with their reader if you do not have one.
.... And this was what worked for me on such day....
