Read a few places onsite on what to do when hands free link stop working. Then went out to purchase the hfl module at acura dealer for $202.61. Replaced the module myself in about 10 minutes. Now hfl working perfectly.
The hfl module is located inside the center rear console where the rear ac/heat control unit is. Pull out the cover carefully from the top and work your way to the bottom. It is all snap on snap off brackets. Then disconnect the control units for the ac/heat units, seat heaters, and rear auxillary control. Replace the hfl module that is screwed on with three screws. Be careful not to drop the screws. They will fall to the bottom where you cant reach. Now the hfl should work same as before. Put all back in reverse order. |

I've had my entire HF system replaced under "goodwill" warranty in December of 2010. It was alot more than the prices listed in these threads...

My HFL also stopped working. My dealer gave me a quote for $476.85 to get it replaced which looks to be a ripoff. I read few forums and say people buying it for $170 which totally surprised me.
Any idea where to buy this other than at my dealer??? Also guys, I had battery issue followed by this issue. Just FYI, this module has to be unplugged if not working else it will be draining out your battery. |

Thanks for the link, helped me tremendously. Couldn't believe how simple it was to remove, installation will be a breeze. It literally will take only 5-10 minutes.

Bluetooth Handsfree 2007 stopped working
I have a question for all of you, when I first turn the key over in the car I hear a blip and I think it's from the hands free. In the past month it's worked only 3 times randomly. Would I still need to replace this part that has been mentioned in this thread.

My Bluetooth Handsfree 2007 stopped working and was responsible for draining my battery to the point that the car would not start. Acura East performed a parasitic draw test, and that lead to the HFL draining the battery. Once the HFL was removed, the car starts up just fine. When I get around to it, I will replace the HFL myself instead of going to Acura Service. It looks like its a straightforward job to install with no fancy tools to place a new in the car.
