Not everyone posts their vehicle year or country of ownership in the sidebar information, so that might be part of my confusion.

Of course I just had to edit this post because I saw that I didn't have our 2012 MDX listed in the sidebar. Never paid any attention to that fact before.
Looks like there is no way to edit the information and add the year of our vehicles to the listed information on the side. That's kind of strange.
They share the similar housing but they are two separate bulbs. If you notice the DRL are the inner lights while the fog are the outter lights.

BTW what has everyone had success using for LED DRL's?

Thanks for the information about two separate bulbs being used for the two functions. Makes a lot of sense now.

Hey guys, I'm trying to replace my fog lights with LEDs I purchased and I'm not having much luck. I luckely found this post and the video below:

Fog Light Replacement 2007-2013 Acura MDX - 2009 Acura MDX 3.7L V6

Based ont the responses in this post, I suspect that this is the easiest way of installing the LEDs foglights and DRLs? When you guys installed the LEDs, where did you guys securely fasten the ballast?

I attempted to remove the drivers side fog light by removing the flap in the wheel well but it doesn't give you much room and the foglight just wouldn't turn counter clock wise for removal. Anyone have any suggestions, short of using the Jaws of Life to get the damn thing off?

Thanks guys,

You should be able to pull the lining back far enough to give you ample room... When I swapped my DRL and fog bulbs out many moons ago, all it took was a good grip and a bit of forearm strength... =)

Drift king, thanks for the response. Quick question for you, what DRL are you using?

I just got a set of 9005 LED's off amazon for $18, and I put them in (with some issues reaching my hand in there). Look great, but now I'm getting the DRL Error code when I start the car. Anyone have a work around for this with an ECU flash? Or do I need to find different bulbs with built in resistors?

Thanks guys.

No problem, and no. No Issues, or error codes, I've had them in for a little over a month now.

I replaced the foglight and DRL with only removing 1 philip screw on the wheel well, just need to ply the plastic cover and snake my hand in to replace the led bulbs. Easy
