Bluetooth on my 07 stop responding today, any idea to troubleshoot it?

Sadly my Bluetooth decide to quit on me this morning. There is no response from my steering wheel with the old No Phone found when I forget to turn on bluetooth on my phone. Its simply silent and button on the steering wheel is just dead. Anyone experience this before? Is this gonna cost me big $$$ and is there a DIY solution to it? Thanks.

Have you gone back since this happened and tried? Mine has does this once and then it worked.

This is a decent resource besides the owners manual>>

My entire system (BLUE TOOTH) failed back in early December...same symptoms you are describing....they replaced under "goodwill warranty"..... you may want to bring her in to the dealership...

I'll try that. I'm bring my X in for a rear brake pad replacement with dealer special promo this coming Thursday. Hopefully they will do the same thing for me.

Fabvsix, did you recall what was replaced and the $$$ you've been quoted before they offer you the Good Will Warranty? My dealer want to charge me $110 to troubleshoot and depending on the cost of the part that $110 will be included toward the actual cost of labor/part to correct my Bluetooth. I had never been ask to pay to have my car diagnosis with my previous BMW & Mercedes experiences. Is this a Acura thing or I'm just been lucky/spoiled too long?

Hello, I just joined this forum after searching today for the same problem. I have a 2007 MDX and HFL/Bluetooth just quit, button does not work. I removed rear control panel (very easy, just some clips, gently pry off) and removed the connector from the unit then reconnected it. It came on the first time, then next time I turned on ignition nothing, so I went to dealer and paid $170 for new unit (no goodwill just 10% off on part). Replaced it and everything seems to be working great. I'll report back if I have any future issues. Sounds like they are having some problems with these units.

In all the years I've owned Acura's heck even Honda's I've NEVER been quoted to charge me for such services! They are screwing you royally! Find another dealership quick! btw they replaced the "entire" HFL system under either warranty or good will.....

You might try eliminating the phone from the Handsfree system, then installing it again. It worked for me after it seemed to "lose" the phone. Lots cheaper, too, if it works.

You guys are lucky then if you've never been charged, my understanding and experience has been that any vehicle that is out of warranty is subject to a diagnostic fee, whatever that might be (because it varies by dealership)

I recently had the no phone message on my 2010 so I was on my way to the dealer and I called him and it worked but it then failed again. When I got there it was the same issue again. The rep dicked around for about half hour until I told him to check the diagnostics. Using the 3 button trick he navigated to the menu that shows the communications block diagram and the HFL had an X through it. He ordered me one and it fixed the problem. BTW - he said that he didn't like to check the diadnostics menu while the client was looking over his shoulder because so many people get into it and screw it up. I told him that it would be money in the bank to him and he agreed besides, I have used it for 6 years in my RL.
Of course, the guy said that he had never had one of these fail before, and mine is a 2010!

The best my dealer will do for me is labor free but no warranty on the replacement part. So, $190 I paid to have my Bluetooth fixed. I hope it'll last for at least 2 more years before I get another car.

The hands free quit working in my wife’s 07 MDX. If the button on the steering wheel is pushed, there is no response from the system.

Can anyone identify the component that needs replaced for the repair, so that I can do it myself?

You should start by going to the hidden screen menu and check to see if there are any errors for any hardware devices and any errors in the software logs. Can't remember the name of the buttons that you need to press to go into the hidden menu, but there are several posts describing it. That information may hopefully provide some hints about the problem that you are having.. i.e. hardware error, software error, communication link broken, etc.
