New Wipers
I just changed my blades yesterday. I changed 6 months ago too. 6 months ago I put on some of the RainX blades. CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!! I will never buy the RainX blades again. Yesterday I put on some Anco Contour blades and it is night and day. We have had negative temps with splash-back from road treatment and the Anco wipers claim to be "all season" and seem to be quite good.

I actually had good luck with the Rain-x versions on the MDX and my daughter's Mini. But I usually go with the Bosch or Anco contour type of blades. I also change them about 3 times a year - kinda anal about having good wipers. You can DIY in 3 minutes.

My 04 MDX has a horrible rear wiper. Does this need to be replaced with an OEM wiper or can you buy an aftermarket rear wiper blade? I went to one store and he said I just need to measure the length of the rear wiper and I can buy an aftermarket replacement but I haven't seen an aftermarket replacemtent listed for the rear wiper.

I Just put on some Rain-x weatherbeater wiper blades and so far I really like them. But a couple of weeks ago I bought a set of Rain-x latitudes and I was disappointed in them especially for what I payed, the driver side wiperblade had a huge area/void that would not wipe, so I swapped them out for the weatherbeaters.

The wiper blade inserts are so inexpensive, you can replace them frequently without spending a fortune. You can get them at any Acura or Honda dealer, and they're so cheap, it's not even worth it getting them mail order, just stop by your dealer. Here are the part numbers on the 2007: Front 76622-SDA-A01 RUBBER, BLADE (650MM) List $5.36 76622-S5A-003 RUBBER, BLADE (525MM) List $4.95 Rear 76622-S50-003 RUBBER, BLADE (300MM) List $4.95 |

all i can say is that replacing the rear windshield wiper insert on my X takes me about 30 mins!!!
in comparison, the fronts are a piece of cake- though be careful in not letting the wiper blade arm come down (while the insert is not on it/removed while replacing old wiper inserts)...or you'll crack your front windshield!... ~Priscilla
