I wasn't overly happy with the OEM blades once the snow started flying...but they were a couple months old so I swapped out the inserts around the first of the year. After 200 miles of snow/ice driving a couple weekends ago...i'm switching to something else. Marginal at low speeda and worthless at highway speeds. Reminds me I need to go pick something up as this will be another 300+ mile weekend.

I'm getting a new set put on Monday when the MDX goes in for its oil/filter change. I can get back to you after that if you like with the exact price for the blade refills.

The OEM inserts I bought awhile back were $17.76 for all three (including tax). Pretty cheap compared to the $50 I dropped on two Bosch Icon blades....but then again I just drove 150 miles with off/on snow and the Icon's performed flawlessly at highway speeds.

They are about $9 each at Acura, and $7 each at Honda. Exactly the same part. But Acura has a 20% off coupon and free installation. So they are really the same.

I guess people who are crazy about this wind shield wiper stuff are all in the North. I am in the Bay area and my 6.5 year old 07 MDX is still with the original wiper insert. This winter it is especially dry and almost over. After it, is another 8 months w/o a single drop of water. So maybe I shall replace it October 2013.

The price I listed for the OEM inserts was from my Acura dealer. Fronts were $5.28 each and rear was $5.75. I didn't ask for any special pricing...just said give me what I need. Perhaps they charge more in Cali because face it....everything else is overpriced so why not??

PIAA are the best wipers ive ever used no bs. I put these on my 2011 mdx last year it comes with something you wipe on the screen, after a year incl. hurricane sandy, the snow here in nj etc, it still wipes clean with one wipe and absolutely no streaks whatsoever. Im going to buy another set for my other cars! Whatever is in that wipe is the secret its not like rainx or anything oily like that, its some kind of sealer i think. Everything together just works wonderfully.

Got the front wiper blade inserts replaced yesterday as scheduled - $11.08 for both, installed. Latest pair lasted seven months.

I will second that. OEM blades are leaving streak marks after 7 months, and will most likely get replaced with PIAAs. I had them on my '05 twice and absolutely loved them.

I paid $11.08 for a new set of Acura OEM wiper inserts. What's the cost of a set of PIAA's, $30/pair? And I've never had any streaking or other issues with the OEM until they start to wear. Pure economics.

I just looked up my invoice they were actually $45 for the pair (PIAA Super Silicone Wiper - the whole blade). Expensive yea, but i hated the OEM, for some reason mine didnt last long at all. I know it's alot in the grand scheme of things but im pretty glad they have lastest alot longer than my old set. I'd buy them again just for the fact they are so clean when they wipe in all conditions. For me anyway i looked at the financial cost and the opportunity cost to keep me happy, it made sense in the end

So far 12 months and still wipe like day 1.

I purchased Trico all season wipers and they are excellent. I wish I had purchased them earlier. They remove heavy snow and slush like it's nothing. Best purchase for the X!

I had the same issues with streaks on the drivers side, until I removed the U clip. Now, my Michelin Stealth wipers that I purchased at Costco work great.

Thanks for the tip.

I installed the 21" wiper (passenger) Bosch Icon on a 2008 MDX to address a void problem with the OEMs. It works very well, I am impressed with the performance and the low profile.
