Just got mine
I just got the tri fold cargo mat, I ordered brown, but was sent the grey. The shoulder belts for the third row seat wouldn't let the mat lay flat on the sides so I cut out the area that looks like a knockout and it's fine now, I like the fact that it folds when the rear seats are up and I can leave it in the car.

I have the trifold cargo liner too. My 3rd row seat will never see the light of day unless I sell it someday, so I can't give you feedback for the specifc question you asked, but I have one major complaint about it. I always have a few heavy bags of odd sizes in the back and I'm finding that the tray keeps sliding back after a couple weeks of driving. It gets so bad that I am unable to close the hatch and have to remove all the contents to slide the tray back up to the 2nd row seat. I wish they provided latch attachments or at least see there flaw and give you a bunch of big Velcro strips.

Hi, I am new here and just got a 2009 MDX.
I understand that the tri-fold cargo tray was introduced for the 2010+ models. I am reading here that it may still work for the 2007-2009 models. I just wanted to confirm and see if anybody has this experience. Thank you so much. |

I customized my tri-fold a bit. Because I frequently require access to the 6th seat (never the 7th), I pretty much cut in the middle of the tri-fold tray so that I can leave some of the junk on the 7th seat (the one on the driver side) and not have to move them around and be able to fold the tray for the 6th seat side easily. For the concern of debris falling in between the cut line, I put a simple sheet underneath.
