I need to ask you about one item you have listed for your X....the iSpec ipod controller.....can you fill me in on that item? Does it display ipod info on the screen? I have an 07 and it's killing me to not have that info....

Thanks!
Good luck with the install! Hopefully your arm rests are not as stubborn as mine were .

Here's a good thread about the ipod controller. It's a module that plugs into your XM receiver in the rear of the car under the subwoofer. It does display the song name on the stereo and full info on the nav if you go into the Audio screen:

I have been putting on the miles in the last 8 weeks skiing in Vermont and have developed "arm rest elbow". My right elbow is killing me from leaning on the less than padded arm rest in my 02. The arm rest has always sucked but I am really noticing it due to the increased time in the drivers seat.

Looks really sharp. The updated, stitched-leather-wrapped pieces look MUCH nicer than the original '07-09 equipment. GREAT upgrade!

I have an 07 w/ Tech pkg and brown interior, anyone know if there is a matching part number for the 2010 armrests in the same color?

Hodog16. I'm a little confused if the pictures you posted earlier are from a 2010 or a 2007. I would like to know how to remove the center console doors so I can re-glue the cover leather (or plastic or rubber) material where it wraps around the hinged portion of the console lid or door.

Direct email = kewilcoxusa@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hodog16 - Thank you for your pictures and instructions. They gave me the courage to pull it open on my Acura MDX 2007.

I have the 2010 with the new type armrest and compared to my RL it still is very hard to the elbow. Maybe an alternate plan would be to re-upholster the original with some padding or add padding to the newer type?

KayEee: Sorry I didn't see your reply until today. I have a 2008 so all of my pictures are from that model. I don't know what year AdamsGuitar's is but it's a 2007-2009 version. Will send you an email.

Hodog16,

Many thanks for these instructions. I just replaced my arm rests on my 07 MDX. Took me about 15 minutes. Would of been much longer without your fantastic write up.

Thanks again
