P0420:catalytic converter or O2 sensor?
Code:P0420
If I drive crazily(not gently, for example, push hard the accelerator pedal), check engine light will off by itself after driving several miles. So, the problem is the catalytic converter or O2 sensor? Which one should be replaced first? |

My money is on the cat. How many miles is your car?
If you have both P0410 and P0420, then I would replace the sensor first to see if it will get rid of the cat code as well. But I would love to hear what other more knowlegeable people have to say. I'm here to learn as well.

140K on my car. Just P0420. So I decided to replace cat at first.
