The dealership replaced the 3rd & 4th pressure switches. No more D5 flashing.

What was the cost of having the 3rd and 4th pressure switches replaced? Did they have to pull the transmission?

Thanks.

No codes showed up

My 2003 MDX starting doing the same thing this week. After reading the forum, i took it to the local Autozone to have the codes pulled. No codes popped up. Will a code always pop up with this issue, or should i have the codes checked again?

It happened To me a frs weeks ago. Three torque converter shift valve A solenoid code P1738 if Inremember correctly the number...I'm sure it was valve A code. After checking thoroughly I saw the tranny plug under the water housing was loose...plastic was toasted and clip broke...replaced plug and connected it. No more D5 flashing and
Normal shifting again. BTW I knew it wasn't damaged tranny because in D5 she didn't change gears but she did changed gears manually by moving the gears stick.

Update

Fyi, Turned out that it was a bad 4th gear pressure switch.
Part from Acura was $55
22 minute job, start to finish.

Done.
