Shop Manual Help w/ AC Compressor

Can anyone out there with a shop manual please look up AC Compressor replacement and let me know (If the manual says)how much oil to add to the system when changing one out?

It's for a 2003 MDX, but I think the same compressor was used from 03-07....

Most modern shop manuals have a listing telling how much oil to add back to the system when replacing a component on the AC... It usually looks something like:

Evap Core: xx ozs
Compressor: xx ozs
Condenser: xx ozs

etc...

TIA

Mark

Add the recommended refrigerant oil in the amount listed if you place any of the following parts.

A/C condenser 35ml (1 1/6 fl-oz)
Front evaporator 40ml (1 1/3 fl-oz)
Rear evaporator 30ml (1 fl-oz)
Line or hose 10ml (1/3 fl-oz)
Leaker repair 25ml (5/6 fl-oz)
A/C Compressor ...
for A/C compressor replacement, subtract the volume of oil drained from the removed A/C compressor from 180ml(6 fl-oz), and drain the calculated volume of oil from the new A/C compressor: 180ml (6fl-oz) - volume of removed A/C compressor= volume to drain from new compressor.

Service manual is worth getting! Buy one.

Thanks very much, midnightMDX... I agree with the advice of purchasing the shop manual, but we're planning to sell the car shortly. 8 years and 154k, it's been a good car, but we bought my wife a new car a couple years ago, and kept the X for when we needed the seating/cargo capacity. I recently bought a larger SUV with a higher tow rating for the role the MDX used to fill, so once I repair the AC, we'll be putting her up for sale.

This is perfect. Quick question, wheN I replace one of those components with a new one, do I just measure & pour that amount into the device prior to installation?
