Any 2005 RL Owners out there?
Hi, I first apologize for crashing the MDX site to ask a question about an RL but I thought there might be some owners here. I'm looking at purchasing a used 05-06 RL and I already own a 2005 MDX Touring (love it).
I test drove an '05 RL today and I was surprised at how rough the ride was. This vehicle was in excellent condition, about 80k on it but man was it rough. I felt every bump in the road and it was only smooth over brand new pavement. I also have a Honda Ridgeline and it even has a smoother ride than the RL. I have also test driven an Infiniti M35x and BMW 530i that had a more supple ride. So, without having driven one before I was wondering if this is normal for the RL? Does it have sport tuned suspension or could this vehicle have some suspension issues? I brought it up to the dealer that was selling the car but he verified that there is nothing wrong with it, and the vehicle had passed their 128 point inspection. Other than "feeling" rough, the car was tight, alignment was bang on and the tires looked very new. I've had an RX7, Supra and 300zx twin turbo in the past and I felt like I was driving something like that. Not what I expected from Acura's luxury flagship sedan. I would appreciate any feedback, still on the fence here. Thank You
