i had the mirror actuator issue as well. The passanger side mirror would tilt down and wouldn't return to my preset position. Acura replaced the mirror but this did not remedy the telescopic steering issue. It's winter and I'm constantly having to push my memory button to move the steering to my position. Once the car is warmed up, everything works fine. The LED turns on indicating the driver memory and the tilt steering moves into my preset seating.

Update 1/8
I just finished talking to Acura Client Support. I have the following case number B012012-12-3100004 www.myacura.com If you are not registered you will need to do that. Go to client support at the bottom. They can be contacted by email or telephone 1 800 382 2238. I chose email, had to send them two of them. I read the district rep many of your comments on this site. I asked Acura for answers: 1. Is this a known problem? 2. What is the solution? 3. Is Acura working on this? He said he would look into this and report back by COB Friday. It would be a good idea if everyone who has this reported it. I will update with answers. The more of us that report the problem the better our chances of getting Acura to look at this. |

For all you guys with higher mileage, this is an easy fix, 10 minutes tops, $30 for the part, honestly no big deal. While PITA having to deal with this every few years, it sure beats having to take half the truck apart to get to it. All in all if one is going to have an issue this is not a bad one. You got TSB info on page 1 here, all good to go. Regards, Nino |

For our Canadian Friends here.
www.myacura.ca 1 888 922-8729 Canada has separate engineering and client support departments. TSB clarifiication: TSB are dealer maintenance procedures. Most will not address specific problems. Reports filed with Acura US are held on file for three years. I will leave this thread active as it should be of some help to others. Here is the written response from Acura Client Support US Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help. As previously discussed, we recommend first having an Acura dealership duplicate the symptom. Please contact us to share the diagnosis results. We hope this information is helpful. Our office can be contacted 800 382-2238 Option 5 or on Twitter @AcuraClientCare. Kind Regards, Acura Client Relations Case B012012-12-1300004 |

Ninor / JHR1907, i took my X into the dealership and they replaced the passenger side actuator. Solved my steering wheel preset issues. It's -11 Fahrenheit and the steering wheels moves to the correct position.

If this is correct, it would appear that replacement was defective when it was brand new? Thanks, Nino |

Ninor, you're Absolutely correct, this was the second time they replaced the passenger side acctuator. Works fine and the mirror doesn't make any noise when it tilts down when the vehicle is in reverse. It's a smooth movement. Good luck with your issues.
