Windows rolling down by themselves???

The other day I went out to my 2008 MDX and all my power windows were rolled down to about the quarter showing level and my power sunroof was rolled back about 4 inches. The manual shade was also rolled back. I had my wallet in the door compartment but nothing was taken from it or anywhere else in the car. The car was parcked in a highly visible place about 50 feet from my office window. I recall locking my car when I got out of it but when I got back 4 hours later, the windows were down and the sunroof partially opened. I ruled out a practical joke as I asked all the people that I know and I would think I would rule out theft as nothing of value was taken. My power windows don't need the keys to be in the ignition and neither does the sunroof. But they would still need to get in the car. I can't tell if the car was unlocked when I got to it as I used my remote to unlock it from a distance.

My question to anyone would be have you ever heard of an electronic malfunction of the electircal system or the key fob that opens windows and sunroof? I am still puzzled by the maual shade being partially open though. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you hit your remote by accident.

Opening theWindows and
Moonroof with the Remote
Transmitter

You can open all of the windows and
the moonroof from outside with the
remote transmitter.

Press the UNLOCK button once
to unlock the driverís door.

Press the UNLOCK button a
second time, and hold it. All the
doors unlock, and all four windows
and moonroof start to open. To
stop the windows and moonroof,
release the button.

To open the windows and
moonroof further, press the
button again (within 10 seconds of
step 1) and hold it. If the windows
and the moonroof stop before the
desired position, repeat steps 1
and 2.

your right on MidnightMDX, I tested it and that is the problem. I must have automatically hit the unlock button and held it down a second time. The sunroof also opens the shade slightly as it opens so the mystery is solved. Thanks a million!

Well, at least now you know. Good thing nothing was taken. Imagine if you did this and it was raining.

I don't have that feature on my 2001, do I? Kind of cool on hot days as you return to the car.

My dad's BMW will occationally do that just to be doing. Aparently the X5s are know to enjoy a little breeze when their owners aren't around. A great surprise on a rainy Florida afternoon.

My 2007 Mdx power windows seem to have a mind of its own lately. There had been a few occurrences where one window rolled down completely. I've previously thought that I may have left it open but after last night's incident I know for sure it was not me. I checked all the windows before I left the car (knowingly that there was rain on the way) and yet found one window completely open the next day... And the worst part is that I was not even able to close the window. It clicks as if the window was closed. After restarting the Mdx a few hours later and it worked fine.???

This is an Mdx with tech and entertainment package. What could cause this?
