VSA Indicator and VSA Activation
My 2004 MDX VSA Indicator and VSA Activation /!\ light both turn on after a short drive. It will reset once i restart the car, but after a few miles they will both turn on again.
Does anyone know what the problem is or is there a way to get the DTC without the Honda Diagnostic System? I know in the old days, Acuras use to have an LED that would flash the code. Any help would be appreciated. |

Something might be wrong with the VSA module. You got to take it in to find out what the issue is.

SpeedyGSR - Did you ever figure out what was wrong with your MDX? I have the same problem. My Acura dealer wants $150 to diagnose the problem with their computer...RIP OFF! I found a smaller shop in town that specializes in Honda/Acura that says they can do it for $75 but I'm curious if you might know of something I can check first.

Cool, thanks. Well I guess I will set up an appointment and cross my fingers. I'm an old car guy so it kills me that I am forced to rely on all this computer diagnostic business. I guess there is a price to pay for features!

Just for some closure: I took my MDX into the shop today and they said that VSA sensors just needed to be recalibrated. $75, a quick press of their computer button and I'm on my way. I feel slightly annoyed that was the only reason but I guess it is better than me having to actually fix anything...
