Question OBD port

I have a 2004 MDX and I'm wondering where's the OBD port? And also, any recommendations for a good OBD reader? Thanks.

This a post from that thread. Also, I did some searching just to make sure and found that the port is under the dash. From the right side of the steering column, follow it straight down til you reach the top of the foot well. There you will find the port.

I bet the X has a port for this, but don't know for sure. I was pretty intrigued by the idea of downloading the data, but I recall the chip was pretty expensive.

Do a search on the Tech TV site, they did a story on this a couple months ago.

Modern cars use OBD (on board diagnostics)--the MDX does. The connector is under the dash. You can get digital readouts of what is going on with the car and there is also recorded data such as speed, RPM etc. You can purchase the hardware. I

Here are a couple of links for you to take a look at:

As for an alternative to the OBD device, you can download the info. See:

there was a very nice link that lets you select the year make and model and show you the location of the connector, but it escapes me now.
But it shouldn't be difficult to locate. Its probably near the driver's left foot where the fuses are.

search for some recent threads in the maintenance forum about obd-2 readers. Or take it to autozone for a free DTC scan.
