Angry Sway Bar Bushings

I am new to the forum and looking for some guidance. I have a 2001 MDX Touring with 61000 miles. I took my truck into the dealership for a scratching sound in the dash and they told me that they could not hear that noise, but did need to replace my sway bar bushings. (they heard something I didn't)
I contacted a friend who told me that bushings should not need to be replaced at this mileage, Acura Client Services say they are a wear and tear item. I'm interested in finding out what some of you have to say. Has anyone else had this problem?

Welcome to the forum, Meregold!

I did a search for "sway bar bushing", and it came up with only one thread: http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/showt...g&pagenumber=2 . Only one of the replies was really helpful, and it talked about lubing the bushing with silicone spray. Take a look.

BTW, the search function is VERY useful!

'01 Base Model, Mahogany, running boards, full-size spare (Michelin) from Tim, cargo cover and net. Got her 7/2/01. GYs replaced by Michelins @ 30,700 mi. Cat paw-prints on the hood, windshield, and moonroof.

Hi. I read the thread you recommended and noticed that the 2nd posting down mentioned a service bulletin to replace suspension bushings for the '01 MDX. Any chance you can help me find the bulletin number?
