So I got on the floor to look at how they are mounted to the car.

From what I could see those look like a piece of cake to install. There is no interaction with the wheel wells or mud guards. There are just a handful of easily accessible bolts to attach the running boards to the undercarriage.

Can anyone confirm that these are as easy as it looks to install compared to the Sport Running Boards?

If they are that much easier, I'll pay the extra $50 for them and move on with my life, saving the hassle of 3-4 hours on the ground.

With the sports, I still had to remove the front splash guard and trim. It looks like the main difference with the sport is making sure everything lines up in both wheel wells along with the bolts underneath which took me some time doing the install all by myself. I would suggest having someone help with that part!
