Tri-State Meet?

Not sure how much traffic this portion of the boards gets, but would anyone be interested in a meet? Was thinking maybe this summer. It will give us time for people to be aware of it and also we won't get blind-sided by another blizzard.

I would think somewhere in NJ would be a good midpoint for everyone, but I'm open to suggestions.

I would be down, and in regards to traffic on this portion, it should show up in the "NEW POSTS" so as long as most people check that first, they should see this.

I am down for that, but I am currently in school right now. We just had a feet of snow last night. Snow Day ftw!!

We did an MDX Northeast meet in Hershey PA back in 2002. Had a pretty good turnout too

I know that this may not be the case for all, but that may be too far for most of us NYC metro area. Hershey is almost 3 hours west of NYC.

Maybe somewhere around the NJ-PA border area? Bunch of nice parks in that area.

Dorney Park is a blast from the past. I grew up in that area and the park was a bit of a dump then - think it’s upscale now.

We went to the dirt track Demolition & Stock races there as teens.

I’m going back this Labor Day for a wedding and it would be tempting.

I really miss the “Widow Maker” food: Ring Bologna & Longhorn cheese, Cheese Steaks, Scrapple, and Funny Cake & Shoo Fly, not to mention Jersey Corn from the Q-Mart and Auckland’s…Did I mention scrapple, Stoltzfus Buckwheat is my favorite!

One of my neighbors has a Jacob Zook Hex sign over their garage door – We flew the coop but never forgot.

We have Artichoke & Goat Cheese Pizza here

Hershey is about 7 hours from me, and NYC/NJ is about 8 hours. But, as it turns out, there's a chance I might be driving to Poughkeepsie within the next month too.

No matter, if I can, I'll just go where you guys go

You actually eat scrapple?

I probably would if I didn't know what it was made from

My parents grew up near Mount Carmel PA, they ate that stuff like crazy growing up, brought some home for them on a trip to the finger lakes region of NY about 2 years ago. I didn't attempt sampling it.....
